Internet service providers (ISPs) have been ordered to block porn website in india after Reliance Jio banned adult websits on its network, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and BSNL may follow the lead.
After Reliance Jio blocked access to adult websites on its network, other telecom company may follow the lead. It is being speculated that Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, and BSNL may be block access to porn websites on their network. This comes after select Jio customers expressed their intention to move to other telecom network after Jio blocked porn websites.

The Uttarakhand High Court has orderd all internet service providers (ISP) to comply with the government's order, in a judgment on September 28, under which almost all known porn websites were to be banned since the government thinks that there is a need to curb unlimited access to adult content or block porn websites as they are resulting in adverse influence on the Indian youth.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has ordered ISPs to block around 800 porn websites and after Jio’s ban on adult content, the other telecom and internet service providers(ISPs) are expected to ban porn websites on their networks soon.
“All the internet service licensees are instructed to take immediate necessary action for blocking of 827 websites as per the direction from Meity and for the compliance of the Hon'ble High Court order,” said Meity in an order issued to Department of Telecom(DoT).
Now all ISPs including Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular and BSNL will soon be blocking such adult websites on their networks as well.

we have know that India is not the first country to take such a step as adult and porn websites have been completely banned in China around 4,000 websites content getting banned in the last month. In total, over 22,000 porn websites have been banned in China.
